Tina Bove : 3 Day Refresh-Day 1

3 Day Refresh-Day 1

Tuesday, February 9, 2016

After a fun filled weekend, ending with a Super Bowl party with lots of delicious treats, a 3 Day
Refresh was in order.  I felt bloated and icky!!  I also wanted to see what the 3 Day Refresh was all about.  It's recommended to help get you through a weight loss plateau, kick start your weight loss or as a monthly refresh. I was trying it to get rid of the bloat and potentially as a monthly refresh. My beginning weight was 142.2 and my waist measured in at 34.75".  I wanted to share my 3 Day Refresh journey so I'm going to walk you through each day and share my thoughts.

My eating schedule:
6:45 am: Drank my chocolate shakeology with strawberries on the way to work.  This is part of my normal routine so it was nice to be able to keep doing it.
10:15 am: Mixed the Fiber sweep packet with 8 ozs of water and drank immediately-this was an interesting one and because it has chia in it, it starts to thicken the longer you wait to drink it.  Definitely had a fibery texture but had a decent lemony after taste.
1:15 pm:  I was pretty busy during my normal lunch time so I didn't even realize I was getting hungry.  Finally drank my vanilla shake with blueberries and 6 baby carrots with hummus for lunch.  I brought my blender to work so I could make a nice thick shake.  It was tasty!
Lunch: Vanilla and Blueberry shake
2:20 pm:  I had a cup of hot green tea.
3:00 pm:  My afternoon snack was another 6 baby carrots with hummus.  I wasn't really hungry but I was getting to ready to leave work and knew my early evening would be chaotic with the kiddos.
5:30 pm:  Made my dinner time vanilla shake with frozen strawberries.  It reminded me of strawberry cheesecake, yum!!  Again, was just starting to get hungry and this was our normal dinner time.
Dinner:  Vanilla and Strawberry shake
6:15 pm:  Had my spinach, tomato, red pepper, cucumber, broccoli salad with balsamic/olive oil dressing.  This was really good and very filling!
Dinner Part 2:  Spinach Salad
I drank about 60 ozs of water outside of all my shakes and I was constantly going to the bathroom. I can, without a doubt, say I never got hungry and felt quite satisfied though out the day even though I was operating at a huge caloric deficit (about 900 calories).  I'm excited to take on tomorrow and see how it goes!
