Why I LOVE the workout program-T-25 Focus so much!

If you are following me on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/tina.bove.3) you know that I’m currently doing my favorite workout program, T-25 Focus with Shaun-T.  I wanted to share with you my results after doing it for 30 days and tell you why I LOVE this program so much! 
T-25 is a 10 week program consisting of 5 weeks doing the “alpha” cycle and 5 weeks doing the “beta” cycle.  The alpha cycle builds your base so that when you move to beta you are set up for success!  In alpha, you don’t use any weights, just your own body weight. Once you get to beta you start incorporating weights into a couple of the workouts (I use 10 lb weights).  Alpha and beta each have their own workouts so you are getting a whole new set of workouts when you transition to beta.  Then, if you are really feeling great at the end of beta, you can buy “gamma” separately and do that program.  Gamma is a whole new level!

Now, T-25 is not for everyone!  My sister had asked me about doing it and I knew this was not the program for her because she hates jumping around and doing a lot of cardio.  I told you in the beginning, I LOVE this program.  I love the fact that each workout is only 25 minutes long.  I can get up every morning and knock out a quick 25 minute workout and be done for the day.  The program has you working out 5 days a week and doing a stretch routine on the weekends.  I get an incredible cardio workout AND get some strength training in during every workout. No matter what day it is, you are going to get your heart pumping!  There are days when he focuses on lower body and then others when he focuses on upper body.  Depending on what day it is, you are going to be doing some form of strength training for your legs, arms or core.   I talked about the cardio piece and this is where those of you that don’t like to jump around, do burpees, fast feet, etc. might not like this program.  I’m not saying you are leaping through the air and doing crazy acrobatics, but you are doing a pretty intense plyometric style workout where you are constantly moving your feet.  I love it!  

I also really enjoy Shaun-T, the creator of T-25.  He really motivates you to push hard but not by yelling at you.  All the moves start out at a basic level and then progress to a more advanced level.  Tonya is always in the workouts as a modifier.  If you aren’t feeling it one day, just follow her and she keeps it low impact.  Shaun-T is easy on the eyes too ;), so that helps! 

I told you I would share my results and here they are:  after 30 days of T-25, I have lost 1 ¾ inches and 2.3 lbs. What I am most excited about though are my ABS!  They are finally starting to get some real definition.  Remember, I just had a baby 5 short months ago and I NEVER thought I could have abs like these again.  I’m here to tell all of you mama’s out there that with some hard work, healthy eating habits and some motivation, you too can have abs like these after 2 kiddos…..and I’m not done!  I still need to finish up beta cycle and do a round of gamma.  I’m really excited to see my results at the end of beta.   If you are interested in trying out T-25, go to the top of my blog and select “Fitness Programs” and click on the T-25 picture.
